Reverend Dr. Danny R. Webb, Th.D.  is a native of Seneca, South Carolina (Oconee County) and the son of Mrs. Ruby Webb-Goodine.  He received his early education within the Oconee County School District, graduating from Seneca High School.

Reverend Webb continued his educational endeavors at Tri-County Technical College, Pendleton, South Carolina; receiving an associate degree in Criminal Justice.  He completed undergraduate requirements at Morris College, Sumter, South Carolina, and received the Bachelor of Science Degree in Management.  Believing in lifelong learning, Danny enrolled at Troy State University, Troy, Alabama and was conferred a master’s degree in Public Administration. 

Reverend Webb is a graduate of the Governors Excel Leadership Institute for managers in South Carolina State Government.  In May 2007, Reverend Webb completed Theological Certificate requirements at The Interdenominational Theological Center (ITC) an extension of Morehouse College, Atlanta, Georgia.  ITC is known worldwide as a Christian, ecumenical, graduate professional school of theology.

Additionally, Reverend Webb currently serves as an Adjunct Professor of Humanities at Voorhees College in Denmark, South Carolina.  He is a retired South Carolina State Trooper with more than 25 years in law enforcement.  He is a brother of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated and a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church Coronaca, Greenwood, South Carolina.

Reverend Webb answered the call to preach on Wednesday, April 4, 2007, and preached his initial sermon, “When Blindness Cries Out”, on the Third Sunday, in September 2007 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Coronaca under the guidance of his Pastor, Reverend Bernard White.

Reverend Webb was installed as the 13th Pastor of The Historical Old Mount Zion Baptist Church in the Epworth Community of Greenwood, County South Carolina on the second Sunday, January 11, 2009.  Most recently, Pastor Webb was elected Moderator of the 1st Union of The Simmon Ridge Samaritan Baptist Association.   He is married to the former Melissa Richardson of Mount Carmel, South Carolina, and the father of Three children, LaToya, Daniel Raphael, and David.

 Finally, and most importantly he is a born-again Christian with a calling and zeal to do Gods will.
